Join us in celebration of the Planet Mars. Mars is one of our closest planetary neighbors, and it will come by for its’ closest visit in 60,000 years on Friday, July 27.
During this Perihelic Apparition, Mars will be a mere 34 million miles away.
We invite you to come witness the Full Moon Rise and hopefully catch sight of the Red Planet from the top of the Tandy Floral Terraces. The night will feature a music soundscape by Pete Tomshany, possible Mars-viewing through telescopes, activities and a few surprises. Noah Bush of Hodges Bend and Saturn Room will create signature Martian cocktails for the event. Coffee House on Your Street Food Truck will be here selling coffee and snacks.
