Tulsa Botanic Garden is collaborating with Philbrook Museum of Art, Tulsa Zoo and VisitTulsa to shine a spotlight on the beauty and diversity of gardens across Tulsa in celebration of National Public Gardens Day.
FRIDAY, May 8
Tulsa Botanic Garden:
9 a.m. – 4 p.m. – Free admission. Drop-in activities in the visitor center – make paper wildflowers and go on a floral scavenger hunt.
Tulsa County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your gardening questions.
10 – 11 a.m. – Garden tour with horticulture staff.
Philbrook Museum:
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Free admission. Activities and scavenger hunt until 4 p.m.
12-1 p.m. – Garden tour.
5:30 – 7 p.m. TALK WITH THE GARDENERS – Moderated Talk at Philbrook Museum with Dr. Todd Lasseigne, CEO, Tulsa Botanic Garden, Shelia Kanotz, Garden Manager, Philbrook; and Jay Ross, Horticulture Curator, Tulsa Zoo.
Free admission, plant door prizes, cash bar and time after talk to explore Philbrook’s gardens (until 7 p.m.).
SATURDAY, May 9
Tulsa Botanic Garden:
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Free admission. Stop in the visitor center where kids can decorate a pot and plant a seed to grow for mom. (Please note the Garden will be closing early on Saturday, at 2 p.m., to prepare for the Third Annual DIG: Day In the Garden event.)
Philbrook Museum:
10 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Free admission and hands-on activities. Tulsa County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer garden questions.
Tulsa Zoo:
9 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Self-guided tree tour
9 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Garden related activities
