Kokedama (Japanese for “moss ball”) is a style of potting up a plant in a moss ball which can then be hung or displayed on a flat surface.  It’s a great way to grow and display plants in small spaces or areas where a traditional potted plant might not work.

Learn more about kokedama with Nursery & Plant Records Manager Lori Fry in a workshop inside our Mabee Grange. Lori will lead everyone in creating a staghorn fern kokedama and each participant will also receive another “surprise” plant to make a second kokedama to take home. Lori will also share best practices for keeping your kokedama thriving.

Ticket includes all materials and admission to the Garden for the day.
