Explore the sights and sounds of native prairie and forest with a moonlit hike on our 1.5 mile Cross Timbers Nature trail. Take a self-guided walk at your own pace or arrive by 6 p.m. for a guided walk with horticulturist Matthew Southall. Guided hike is approximately 45 minutes to an hour and is geared for ages 16 and up. Comfortable shoes, warm clothes and red flashlights encouraged. Trail surface is mowed path and uneven surface rocks and cannot accommodate strollers, wagons, or wheelchairs.
Warm drinks and other beverages as well as s’mores kits will be available for purchase before or after your walk, with fire pits nearby.
Event is come and go, last admission at 7 p.m. to ensure time to walk trail before event closes at 8 p.m. Dogs are not permitted at this event.
TICKETS: Garden members: $10 for ages 16+, $5 for ages 3-15. Non-members: $15 for ages 16+, $6 for ages 3-15.

NOTE: If weather conditions warrant, a decision on cancelling this event will be made by noon the day of the event and will be announced on social media and the website.

Garden members can enjoy the Garden starting at 8:30 a.m. each Friday through Nov. 22, 2024. Tulsa Botanic Garden is hosting a meeting for interested public to learn about management and improvement plans for the current 1-mile hiking trail in the natural areas of the Garden's 170-acre property. Meeting will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19, 11:30 a.m. in the Garden's Mabee Grange event center. Faculty and about fifty 3rd to 5th grade students from Holmes Park Elementary School in Sapulpa will perform the “Thriller” Dance in their Halloween costumes at the Garden on the event lawn. Afterward, the students and teachers will help everyone learn the dance to “Monster Moves” by Koo Koo to perform together. Free with regular admission. Costumes are encouraged!
