For ages 6 and up with a parent
Come explore the craft of pottery with some modern twists. We will be hosting a craft day where kids can create whatever their imagination comes up with through clay.
From 11 to noon, kids can work with clay to make their own creation. We’ll have lots of tools including stamps they can use for making their clay masterpiece. We’ll also have time for a lunch break (bring a sack lunch) and exploring the Garden while clay creations are baked to dry.
We’ll reconvene at 1 p.m. for time to paint their pieces. We’ll also explore clay we’ve dug straight from the earth and show examples of the stages of how Native Americans processed clay to make beautiful pottery for centuries.
TICKETS: Cost per child, age 6 and up (includes Garden admission):
Members: $25 | Non-members:$30
No charge for parents except regular Garden admission.
Workshop will be in Children’s Discovery Garden Amphitheatre. Bring lunch and wear/bring clothes that can get a little messy.
