Tulsa Botanic Garden - Preparedness Update

March 13, 2020

Tulsa Botanic Garden is monitoring the dynamic and evolving situation with regards to the COVID-19 novel coronavirus and its potential impacts. We are following all guidelines by Center for Disease Control.   As always the safety of our guests, volunteers and staff are our highest priority.

Out of an abundance of caution, we are cancelling or postponing all programming at the Garden through March 31, including Spring Break Story Times (March 17-20), the March 19 Tulip Tour, and our annual Bunny Hunt (March 29).  Our Bands & Blooms event on March 26 will be rescheduled to a later date.  The Garden’s annual fundraiser, “BOTANICAL! A Weekend of Culinary Wonder” has been rescheduled to October 16-18, 2020 due to international travel restrictions affecting our guest chef.

The Garden will remain open normal hours, including our late hours on Thursday evenings. Nature carries on and we continue to celebrate Tulsa Botanic Blooms as the tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths blossom, offering beauty, fragrance and serenity to our guests.

We have added extra cleanings, and our team is disinfecting surfaces in our visitor center throughout the day.  Common play items in the Children’s Discovery Garden including dress-up items, paintbrushes, mallets and books have been removed. Hand sanitizer is available for our guests and we are working to make stations available in Garden areas.

As a place of beauty and tranquility, our focus remains on providing the safest and most enjoyable experience for all who visit.  We will post updates on our website and social media regularly.
