Autumn In the Garden

Celebrate the changing of the season with pumpkins, hay maze and our annual Scarecrow display. 

Daily: Explore our pumpkin display with thousands of pumpkins, a hay maze and our annual scarecrow display - Vote for your favorite scarecrow to win the People's Choice Award!

NOTE: Garden will close to general admisson at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24

Saturday, Oct. 24, 6 p.m. (gates open at 4 p.m.): BOTANIC BRASS with Signature Symphony of TCC  NOTE: Garden will close to regular admission at 3 p.m. and re-open at 4 p.m. for event ticket-holders
Enjoy a picturesque sunset concert at the Garden by Signature Symphony's Brass Quintet. In honor of Tulsa's Oktoberfest legacy, they will play Austrian, German, Polka and Bavarian music.  The Signature String Quarter will play at 5:15 p.m. Tickets are limited and advance purchase is required. See event for details.

Thursday, Oct. 29, 5-7 p.m.: BOO-tanical - SOLD OUT
Families can trick-or-treat in the Children's Discovery Garden for non-scary, fun.  Pete Tomshany will play live music in the Carter/Sherry Families Tree Fort. Tickets are $3/member child (12 and under) and $6/non-member child. Regular admission for adults. Garden will be open until 8 p.m.

Thursdays are Music Nights - the Garden will be open until 8 p.m. with live music 6-8 p.m. and food truck and bar.  Bring your own chairs or blanket to set up on our lawn 
Oct. 22: Branjae and Cajun Boil Catering food truck

Fridays, Sept. 25-Oct. 23.: Kid's Activities - pick up DIY crafts/activities for kids from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.(materials fee may apply, otherwise free with Garden admission, while supplies last)  
Oct. 23: Nature Journals Black Cat Pumpkin Kits  ($5 materials fee includes painted pumpkin and all materials and instructions)

Sundays at 2 p.m.: Garden Walk & Talks with horticulture staff - free with Garden admission, first-come, first-serve, first 20. Please wear mask and physically distance from others. Meet behind visitor center.
Oct. 25: Lakeside Promenade

All the activities listed above are regular admission unless otherwise indicated. Advance timed entry tickets are required and can be purchased here.  (Members must have advance tickets - remember to log in to see member pricing). 

SAFETY PROTOCOLS:

- Please wear masks inside visitor center and restrooms, when purchasing food or drinks outside during music nights and anytime outside when physical distancing 6 ft. from others is not possible. 
- Before entering visitor center, please have your printed or e-tickets ready to scan.
- There is no entry to the Garden between noon and 1 p.m. Visitor Center and restrooms close for cleaning. 

Kids' DIY: Take & Make Bird Feeders

Friday, October 9, 2020 - 10:00am to 5:00pm

Each Friday during Autumn In the Garden, (Fridays, Sept. 25-Oct. 23) children can pick up a garden activity to do onsite and/or take home to complete.  Friday, October 9 we'll have a simple bird feeder craft to take home just in time for fall and winter birds! Most free with Garden admission. Materials fee may apply with some.

Tulsa Botanic Garden is opened with a limited capacity. Open Hours, until further notice: Monday-Sunday (7 days/week), 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Garden will be open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays, Sept. 24-Oct. 29.
Advance tickets, with timed entry, via online or phone purchase are required.  Admission is FREE for Garden members;  $8 for ages 13+, $4 for ages 3-12. Children 2 and under are free.

Discounted admission for SNAP/WIC participants is available: $1 for up to four people (ages 13+). Children 12 and under in group are free. Advance tickets are required and must be obtained by calling 918-289-0330. EBT card and photo ID required at check-in.

Timed entry slots are: 10 a.m.-noon, 1-3 p.m., and 3-5 p.m.  No admission to Garden between noon and 1 p.m
 (You can arrive anytime during your time slot and do not need to leave before it ends-except for 5 p.m. when Garden closes. In the event of inclement weather, you may request change of ticket date within 7 days of your originally scheduled visit. Tickets not used will be considered a donation to the Garden.)

The health and safety of our guests and staff remain our top priority. In line with CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), and state and local health department guidelines regarding COVID-19, the Botanic Garden has the following protocols and safety meaures in place:

  • Garden staff members are wearing masks and guests are strongly encouraged to wear masks/face coverings, especially inside the Visitor Center and restroom where physical distancing of 6 ft. is not possible.
  • Reminders to practice social distancing while enjoying the Garden’s beauty are placed in strategic areas.
  • Hand sanitizer is available at stations in Garden areas.
  • Plexiglas screens are installed at welcome desks in the Visitor Center.
  • Only credit cards are being accepted – no cash transactions at this time.
  • Gift shop will not be open for shopping but items including bottled water, sodas, chips and candy will be available for purchase at entry. (Outside food and drink is allowed, no alcohol or glass). You are welcome to shop online and schedule curbside pick-up. 
  • Seating/waiting areas inside Visitor Center are not available.
  • High-touch items in the Children’s Discovery Garden, such as paint brushes, dress-up items, and mallets for musical instruments have been put away.
  • Drinking fountains are inoperable. Refillable water bottle station will be operable.
  • Hand dryers in restrooms are turned off. Paper towels will be available.
  • All touchable surfaces inside our Visitor Center and restrooms are being cleaned hourly.
