Autumn In the Garden

Thursday, September 24, 2020 (All day) to Thursday, October 29, 2020 (All day)

Celebrate the changing of the season with pumpkins, hay maze and our annual Scarecrow display. 

Daily: Explore our pumpkin display with over 5,000 pumpkins, a hay maze and our annual scarecrow display - Vote for your favorite scarecrow to win the People's Choice Award! 
NOTE: Friday, Oct. 2 the pumpkin display, hay maze and scarecrow display will be closed for set up for Art Fair. All other garden areas will be open.

Saturday & Sunday, Oct. 3 & 4: Art Fair 

Shop and support local artists at booths in the lawn and along Garden paths. Art will include paintings, pottery, jewelry, mosaics and more. General admission. Advance Tickets required.

Thursday, Oct. 29, 5-7 p.m.: BOO-tanical
Families can trick-or-treat in the Children's Discovery Garden for non-scary, fun.  Pete Tomshany will play live music in the Carter/Sherry Families Tree Fort. Tickets are $3/member child (12 and under) and $6/non-member child. Regular admission for adults. Garden will be open until 8 p.m.

Thursdays are Music Nights - the Garden will be open until 8 p.m. with live music 6-8 p.m. and food truck and bar.  Bring your own chairs or blanket to set up on our lawn

Fridays, Sept. 25-Oct. 23.: Kid's Activities - pick up DIY crafts/activities for kids from 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.(materials fee may apply, otherwise free with Garden admission, while supplies last)

Oct. 16: Black Cat Pumpkins ($5 materials fee)
Oct. 23: Nature Journals

Sundays at 2 p.m.: Garden Walk & Talks with horticulture staff - free with Garden admission, first-come, first-serve, first 20. Please wear mask and physically distance from

Oct. 18: Autumn Blooms
Oct. 25: Lakeside Promenade

All the activities listed above are regular admission unless otherwise indicated. Advance tickets are currently required and can be purchased here.  (Members must have advance tickets - remember to log in to see member pricing). Mask/face coverings are strongly encouraged inside visitor center, restrooms, and outside when physical distancing is not possible. 

Fall Plant Sale (Online)

Thursday, September 24, 2020 - 10:00am to Sunday, September 27, 2020 - 11:45pm

Our Fall Plant Sale will be done through online purchases only.  Proceeds from our plant sales help support the Garden. As always Garden members will have first chance to purchase and receive their discount on purchases.  Join as a member now!

MEMBERS - You MUST log in to be able to purchase plants.  Do not create a new account.  See our short tutorial (it's about getting tickets, but login instructions are the same) 

DON'T FORGET - Choose your pickup date and time before check out. 

Members First Plant Sale – starts Thursday, Sept. 24 at 10 a.m. through 11:59 p.m. on Friday night.  Members get 10% discount on purchases.  Members at the Supporting Level and above now receive 25% discount on plant purchases! Not a Garden member?  Join now to shop first and receive a discount on your purchase. 

Sale opens to public at 12 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 through Sunday at 11:59 p.m.

Shopping: A list of plants available for the sale will be published closer to sale date.  Watch this page and follow our Facebook event for updates and videos or live events to show plants prior to sale date. 

Pick up: During you purchase, you will need to select a day and time slot for picking up your plants.  Pick up dates are: Sept. 30, Oct. 1, 2, and 3 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. 
Procedures and dates/times to pickup plants will be strictly adhered to. Garden staff will pull and prepare your plant order for pickup in your vehicle. (there will be no shopping/plant selection at pickup). Plant orders not picked up by Oct. 3 at 3:30 p.m. will be cancelled.

On Saturday, Sept. 26, the Garden will be closed for general admission tickets for the annual DIG fundraising event..  The 8th annual DIG, Day In the Garden will be from 10 a.m. - noon and 1-3 p.m.  Advance tickets for this will be  required and only DIG ticket holders will be admitted.

Mark your calendars for our 8th annual DIG: Day In the Garden on Saturday, September 26, 2020!

Let’s get together (responsibly) to reconnect and support the Garden! Bring the family and a blanket to S-P-R-E-A-D out on the lawn for fun picnic including: 

Science Show · Hot Toast Music · Family Activity Kits and Scavenger Hunt · Photo Booth · Boxed Lunch Picnic and Drinks (including compl. beer and wine) · Scarecrows, Pumpkins, Hay Maze and the beautiful garden to explore!

Choose a time slot that works best for your family! 10 a.m.-12 p.m. OR 1-3 p.m.
Garden will only be open for DIG Ticket holders and tickets will be limited in each time slot.

TICKETS: $35 for Member adults; $55 for Non-member adults. Children are free with paid adult.

We are monitoring CDC recommendations and will adjust accordingly if needed.  All activities will be outside so families can picnic and enjoy entertainment and DIY craft kits while physically distancing. Hand sanitizer stations will be available and masks are required while inside visitor center and restrooms or where physical distancing from other groups is not possible.
