Tulsa Botanic Garden will be hosting select artists for Plein Air Painting followed by an Exhibit and Sale of their work on Sunday, April 2, 2023. The artists will be painting in various locations in the Botanic Garden that morning and then exhibit their original work in the Garden’s Mabee Grange building in a reception from 2:30-4:30 p.m. A portion of sales of their works will benefit the Botanic Garden.
Participating artists include: Josh Stout, Kelly Pennington, Matt Smith, F. Thompson, Monte Toon, Jay Holobach, Donna Whitsitt, Dianne Morrison, Mary Lee Weaver, Pat Meyer, Robert Owen Freeman, Ken Brown and Matt Moffett.
The event is part of the Garden’s annual Tulsa Botanic BLOOMS festival with over 200,000 spring flower bulbs blooming from mid-March to mid-April.
The Garden will be open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the public is invited to come see the artists as they work as well as attend the exhibit and sale which is open to the public with Garden admission. Advance tickets are recommended. Drinks and snacks will be available for sale.
