March 16-April 16: Tulsa Botanic BLOOMS!
Revel in the arrival of spring with over 200,000 spring-flowering bulbs during Tulsa Botanic Garden’s annual festival – Tulsa Botanic BLOOMS! Weather dictates bloom times for our daffodils, hyacinths, and tulips but we start celebrating in mid-March and run through April 16. (Check our website and social media for updates!)
Our spring series of Bands & Blooms concerts will begin Thursday, March 23 and run every Thursday through May 4 with live music from 6 to 8 p.m. See details below.
Friday, March 3, 10:30 a.m.: First Friday Horticulture Tour
Join a horticulturist for a walking tour of the Garden. Free with admission Pre-registration via the website is preferred.
Tuesday, March 7, 6-9 p.m.: Full Moon Nature Hike
Explore the sights and sounds of native prairie and forest with a moonlit hike on our 1.5 mile Cross Timbers Nature trail. Take a self-guided walk or meet at 6:30, 7, 7:30 or 8:05 for a guided walk with a Garden Curator geared for ages 16+. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase. Last admission at 8 p.m. Trail cannot accommodate strollers or wheelchairs. Advance Tickets: Members: Age 16+: $10, Ages 3-15: $5; Non-members: Age 16+:$15, Ages 3-15: $6
Saturday, March 11, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.: Second Saturday Dog Day
Bring your pup for this special day they can join you for a walk (and sniff!) in the Garden. Dogs must be on a 6’ or shorter non-retractable leash. Bring your own water bowl. Free for Garden members and their dogs. Regular admission for non-members. Dogs are free in March!

Tuesday, March 14, 10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.: Pi Day
Join us for mud pie making in the Children’s Discovery Garden.
Wednesday, March 15, all day: Ides of March
Learn Latin names of common plants in the Garden
Thursday, March 16, 10:30 a.m.: Guided Hike of Cross Timbers Nature Trail
Take a guided walk of the Cross Timbers Nature Trail (1.5 mile). Trail not accessible to wheelchairs or strollers.
Friday, March 17, Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day
10:30 a.m.-12 p.m.: Make & Take Clover Containers craft in the Children’s Discovery Garden.
Shamrock mocktails, Irish Coffee and other drinks will be available for sale all day.
Bands & Blooms will be every Thursday, March 23 – May 4, 6-8 p.m.
Our spring concerts offer opportunities to stroll the Garden, picnic, and enjoy live music. Bring chair or blanket. Food and drink options will be available at 5:00 p.m. Free for Garden members – join today! Regular admission for non-members.
Thursday, March 23, 6-8 p.m.: Bands & Blooms: Annie Ellicott
Annie Ellicott is a jazz vocalist and songwriter who has toured the United States and Europe, performing both traditional jazz and original compositions. She’s also a recurring guest vocalist with Jeff Goldblum and the Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.
Saturday, March 25: Garden closing early at 4 p.m.
Saturday, March 25, 5:30-8 p.m.: Tiptoe Through the Tulips
Stroll through the Garden and enjoy the fragrance and colors of daffodils, hyacinths and tulips. Sip on cocktails, wines and beers and enjoy savory hors d’oeuvres. Live music and stunning color will provide the perfect setting for this spring garden party!
Renowned artist Pat (p.s.) Gordon will be signing posters featuring his painting Portrait of a Tulip created for the Botanic Garden. Posters will be available for purchase to pick up at the event.
Limited tickets are $100 for Garden members and $125 for non-members. Event is 21+ and proceeds benefit the Garden.
Tuesday, March 28, 7-10 a.m.: Members’ Early Morning
Members can enjoy the Garden in the earlier hours of the morning! It’s a great time for photography, bird-watching or a stroll through the Garden as our horticulture team prepares for opening.
Thursday, March 30, 6-8 p.m.: Bands & Blooms: Bossa
Unwind with an evening in the Garden! Experience the vibrant colors of spring flowers and the music of Ana Berry and Bossa in the Garden.
Garden Hours in March are Tuesday – Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. During our spring Bands & Blooms concerts, March 23 through May 4, the Garden will be open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Advance tickets recommended: $8 for ages 16+, $4 for ages 3-15. Day of tickets are $10/$5 respectively.
Coming in April: En Plein Air – Painting, Exhibit and Sale:
Tulsa Botanic Garden will be hosting select artists for Plein Air Painting followed by an Exhibit and Sale of their work on Sunday, April 2, 2023. The artists will be painting in various locations in the Botanic Garden that morning and then exhibit their original work in the Garden’s Mabee Grange building in a reception from 2:30-4:30 p.m. that afternoon. A portion of sales of their works will benefit the Botanic Garden, a non-profit organization.
