GARDEN MEMBERS – Join us for a workshop with instructor Mae Dean Erb to learn about origami, the Japanese art of paper folding, and create your own works of art! With spring, and the Oklahoma debut of FLORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN exhibition at the Garden in sight, Mae Dean will focus on creating origami flowers, birds and butterflies. All materials will be supplied. All ages are welcome.

Workshop will be held inside our Mabee Grange event center. Drinks and refreshments will be available for purchase. Garden members will also be able to shop the Member Only Gift Shop clearance sale in the Visitor Center.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Mae Dean Erb holds a Masters Degree in Education and is a board certified educator. She presents Origami programs in libraries across the state of Oklahoma, as well as nationally and internationally.
Mae Dean received a Fulbright Memorial Fund Scholarship to Japan, and also lived in Okinawa, Japan for two years, where she gained firsthand insight into this ancient Japanese artform. Mae Dean was named Teacher of the Year for El Reno Public Schools and was a finalist for Oklahoma’s Teacher of the Year. She has also received the Origami USA Teaching Award.
