The Garden is lush and green in July! Look for lilies, coneflowers, hydrangeas, roses, cannas, lotus and water lilies blooming (to name a few!)  Be sure to come out to see our wildflower/meadow planting behind our visitor center.

NEW HOURS for SUMMER (through late September): Tuesday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. 
GENERAL ADMISSION is FREE for Garden members!  $8 for ages 13+, $4 for ages 3-12. Children 2 and under are free, but require a ticket.  See ticket link below. 

Sunday, July 4, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Boozy, Brunchy Dog Days of Summer
Bring your pup on our own July 4 Doggone Fun on the Fourth special Dog Day (when they can visit the Garden with you).  From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. pastries, hot dog and s’more kits and cocktails (and other drinks) made with Garden-grown herbs will be available. (Fire pits will be available for roasting)  Other Dog Day Dates: August 1 – Calaveras truck.  General admission and $4 for non-member dogs – tickets must be purchased in advance. 

Thursday, July  8, 5-7 p.m.: J.E. and L.E. Mabee Grange Open House
Event planners, vendors and guests are invited to see our Mabee Grange for private event space. RSVP by July 1 is required. 

Saturday, July 10, 10 a.m. – noon: Treehouse Tea Party with The Magical Nanny
Make plans to join The Magical Nanny for this special Treehouse Tea Party under the shade of our oaks.  This come-and-go event includes story time, sing-alongs and refreshments.  A special ticket is required. 

Thursday, July 15: 10:30-11 a.m.: Treefort Storytime
Enjoy a nature-themed story in the Children’s Discovery Garden – in July, we’ll be reading We Are The Gardeners by Joanna Gaines.  After storytime, explore more of the Children’s Discovery Garden. Bring a picnic lunch if you like!  Free with general admission.  Make plans to join us on  August 19 with our Guest Reader: Yadenee Hailu from Fulton Street Books & Coffee

The Botanic Garden has the following protocols and safety meaures in place:

  • Masks are optional (recommended for those who are not fully vaccinated) for visitors both inside the Visitor Center and outside. 
  • Guests are encouraged to practice social distancing from others not in your group while enjoying the Garden.
